Our Board of Directors, a group of diverse, highly experienced and fun professionals believe all people should be given the opportunity to belong. They advise and oversee Adjoin’s strategy and governance, and ensure we are operating effectively as a not for profit organization and delivering on our mission. Their diverse skill sets, experience, and areas of influence are critical in helping us build limitless pathways for people to be successful in their communities.

Kim McNealy

Chair

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Kim attended the U.S. Naval Academy, serving as a nuclear submarine officer after graduation. Subsequently he earned his MBA from Northwestern University and MPA from the University of Minnesota. Kim and Leesa, his wife, have two grown children.

ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW: Kim’s always looking for ways to improve experiences, processes, brands, and leaders.

Alan Willardson

Secretary

Joined 2019

Alan was born in San Diego, and lived in Hawaii and San Francisco for a few years before returning to San Diego for good. He attended San Diego State University where he received his BS in Accounting in 2010. Alan and his wife, Allison, have been married since 2008, have two dogs and enjoy spending time at the beach with them.

ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Whether it’s running 49 miles in a single weekend or working on visiting every national park, Alan loves a good challenge.

Robert Wilson

Director

Robert is an attorney representing companies and management in wage and hour, labor and employment matters. His practice focuses on defending wage and hour class and PAGA actions. Originally from upstate New York, Robert has called San Diego his home for well over two decades. He is the proud father of two exceptional daughters and one Chiweenie, Remi.

ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW: He enjoys all San Diego has to offer and loves spending time going to Padres games. Robert will not leave a game until the game is finished. He once attended a game that played 18 innings!

Windus Fernandez Brinkkford

Windus is an Investment Advisor Representative with Trilogy Capital, Inc., which she joined in 2003. She holds her Series 65 Registration. She also holds her Series 6, 7, and 63 Registrations with LPL Financial, as well as holds a Life Insurance License. Windus strives to help her clients understand that success isn’t achieved with the first plan but with their long-term relationship and commitment to work together.

Coming from a family background in property management, Windus also wants to help build, create, and foster an awesome culture for other professionals to grow their businesses. She is a member of the professional groups, 6 Degrees San Diego and SPIRE. She is also has served as a board member for Traveling Stories, an organization that believes in outsmarting poverty through literacy programs.

ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW: I'm always working towards a new adventure and love to push my limits.

Travis Jang-Busby

Travis is an attorney representing companies and management in labor, employment, and corporate matters. Originally from Colorado, Travis is now happy to call San Diego home with his three children and two dogs.

ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW:
No longer able to access snow on a consistent basis, Travis has traded his skis for a surfboard and can frequently be found on one of San Diego’s amazing beaches.

Kenneth Mazo

Director

Kenneth Mazo Jr. is the Chief Financial Officer for the Neighborhood House Association, overseeing financial strategy and operations for one of San Diego’s largest social service agencies. With more than 17 years of experience across nonprofit, corporate, and public accounting, including previous audit work with CohnReznick LLP, he brings strong financial leadership and a deep commitment to community service. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Kenneth leads with values grounded in service, integrity, and impact.

ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW: The values Kenny leads with come from years of service, but the joy in his life comes from his wife and their two sons, especially when they are making memories together on Disney trips.

JoAnn Wilkinson

JoAnn was born and raised in Vermont. Her BS in Chemistry led to her first career in Environmental Chemistry and laboratory management. Mid career she transitioned to Biotechnology with a focus on Continuous Improvement and Quality Management. She is married with two adult daughters. JoAnn spends her retirement time gardening, reading and traveling.

ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW: JoAnn is a life long Girl Scout and attempts to leave the world a little better than found, each and every day,

Popeh Zeinali

Director

Popeh is a purpose-led professional fiduciary who mixes sharp ethics with real compassion. She helps people navigate financial and family complexities with clarity and heart. Popeh is a CSUSM alum who loves San Diego County, and works hard to make every space I occupy a little calmer, kinder, and more human.

ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW: Off the clock, Popeh is all about vegetation and cooking with what she grows. You can always find her in the garden chilling with my babies the earth provides alongside Oak, her furry sidekick.
