Self-Advocacy is an important part of Adjoin programs. Adjoin encourages and assists individuals in becoming stronger and more confident self-advocates in everyday life, helping them build their own pathways to success.
Adjoin Catalysts Advisory Committee members help in grassroot calls to action at local, state and national levels. Adjoin recognizes their voices have a greater impact and provides avenues and assistance for members to advocate for their rights.
The Catalysts Advisory Committee provides paths for Adjoin clients to engage in real life scenarios such as: self-advocacy, skills training, education, activities and even fundraising to offset costs for trips and outings. Side-by-side with other individuals in their community, Adjoin clients get hands on opportunities to develop self-advocacy skills.
Adjoin believes so deeply in individuals having opportunities to grow in their confidence and voice there is no cost for Adjoin clients to join.
Having a voice and telling others where you want to live, work, learn and play is an essential part of the journey to belonging.
