JoAnn was born and raised in Vermont. Her BS in Chemistry led to her first career in Environmental Chemistry and laboratory management. Mid-career she transitioned to Biotechnology with a focus on Continuous Improvement and Quality Management. She is married with two adult daughters. JoAnn spends her retirement time gardening, reading, and traveling.
